A body has been found in the search for a missing North East man.
Paul Wilson, 55, from Normanby, was reported missing and officers carried out extensive searches to try and find him.
Sadly, police confirmed on Monday (October 5) that the body of a man has been discovered.
While formal identification has yet to take place, Mr Wilson's family have been informed.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Sadly, we can confirm that our officers have today found the body of a man while searching for missing Paul Wilson, 55, from Normanby.
“While no formal identification has yet taken place, Paul's family has been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
