A man and a woman have died after a crash in North Yorkshire.
It happened near Scaling Dam west of Whitby at about11.45pm on Friday night.
A grey Peugeot 2008 travelling east on the A171 collided with a blue VW Golf going west.

Emergency services were quickly at the incident.
The passenger in the Peugeot – a woman in her 70s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a man in his 90s, was taken to hospital. However, his condition deteriorated and he also died.
The driver and passenger in the VW, a man in his 20s and a teenager, were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the collision are ongoing.
“We are urging anyone who may have seen the collision, or either vehicle prior to it, to contact us straight away. We particularly want to hear from anyone with relevant dashcam footage.”
