A housing association is inviting residents to join a series of community clean-up events aimed at tackling litter and fly-tipping across the Bradford district.

Incommunities will hold several Days of Action in October and November, bringing staff and residents together to clear rubbish and bulky waste.

'We all want to live somewhere that feels clean'

Patrick Collins, director of communities at Incommunities, said: "We all want to live somewhere that feels clean and cared for, and we know how frustrating litter and fly-tipping can be.

"Our Days of Action bring local residents and our teams together to tackle some of those issues and make a visible difference in the area.

"We’ve got several days coming up and we’d love people to join us.

"We’ll provide litter pickers, bags and gloves, and you don’t need to stay for the whole session – even ten minutes can help."

The events are open to everyone, with no special skills or equipment required.

All volunteers will be provided with litter pickers, bags, and gloves.

'Join us on our Days of Action'

The Incommunities website reads: "Join us on our Days of Action!

"During the days of action colleagues from across all departments work with local people to clean up neighbourhoods across the district.

"We'll be litter picking, removing bulky waste and speaking to people about the rubbish issues in the area.

"We'd love for as many people to join us as possible.

"Anyone who comes along is provided with litter pickers, bags and gloves.

"You don't need to stay for the full day, even if you can stay for 10 minutes, it will make a difference."

When can you get involved?

The next Day of Action is on Tuesday, October 6, from 10am to 1pm, starting at Brookfield Road, Pollard Park, BD3 0RN.
