A furniture manufacturer is celebrating the opening of a new factory in West Yorkshire as it looks to drive future growth and strengthen its operations in the region.
NaughtOne, based in Harrogate and known for designing and manufacturing furniture for commercial spaces, has opened the new Norquest House facility in Birstall, near Leeds.
The 33,000 sq ft site is nearly three times the size of the company’s previous location in Elland and brings production, warehousing, and customer experience under one roof.
Nadean McNaught, managing director of NaughtOne, said: "This is a big moment for NaughtOne as we step into our 22nd year.

"Having grown out of our much-loved Elland factory, we’d reached the point where we needed more space – to support the future growth of the business and further enhance experiences for our team and customers.
"There was no question that it had to be in Yorkshire, staying true to our roots is important to us and we couldn’t be happier in our new home."
The facility is designed to support faster and more reliable services for customers while providing an improved working environment for staff.

It will also serve as a dedicated space for welcoming clients and partners from around the world.
Norquest House is a fully renewable-energy production site and has earned an A-graded EPC rating for energy efficiency.
Its location and operational improvements are expected to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and cut travel distances by an average of 8,500 miles per year.
The site will serve as NaughtOne’s new Centre for Excellence, setting global standards for production.

It will manufacture furniture for UK and European customers, support the development of new products, and house a Custom Studio for creating tailored solutions.
Rob Hamilton, director of global operations at NaughtOne, said: "Moving our production operation into such a large space was no mean feat and I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, particularly our operations team for their adaptability throughout the move.
"We’re settling in well, shipping products across the continent and enjoying even closer collaboration with our office colleagues in Harrogate.
"Exciting times ahead."
The opening of Norquest House marks NaughtOne’s fifth new opening in the past three years.
Earlier in 2024, the company expanded into a new Harrogate headquarters and London showroom, and plans to open showrooms in Chicago and New York in 2025.
