Many people enjoy having a takeaway from time to time to have a tasty meal at home without having to cook.
After the food has been eaten, you are usually left with lots of boxes and trays that you need to get rid of.
While you might think it is obvious which bin things like pizza boxes go in, the correct answer might surprise you.
A binman has revealed exactly where you should be putting pizza boxes to avoid having your bins refused.

Binman reveals which bin pizza boxes should go in
It can be incredibly annoying if your bin is refused by the binmen and rubbish starts to pile up.
To avoid this, it is important to make sure you are always putting different items in the correct bins.
Ashley or the No1. Binman on TikTok shared a video explaining why you should not be putting cardboard pizza boxes in the recycling.
He said: “Pizza boxes, I’ve been banging on about them for absolutely ages, it doesn’t go in there.
“When it has grease on it, it’s not meant to go in there.
“Some boroughs let you put it in the garden waste but nine times out of ten, if you haven’t got a garden waste, it goes in the general waste because it’s something to do with the grease.
“It can’t be evaporated but if it has a bit of moisture in the box, it can be.
“But yes, pizza boxes are not recyclable if they have grease all over them.
“So put them in your general waste and you haven’t got this problem when they refuse to take your bin.”
The next time you order a pizza, make sure to put the boxes in the general waste if there is a lot of grease on them.
Why do bins get refused by binmen?
Your bin can be refused if you are putting the wrong items in each bin.
You should check with your local council which things can be put in the different bins in your area.
If you put something unsuitable in your food waste or recycling bin, it can contaminate the bin and spoil the lorry’s load.
