A self-made North Yorkshire estate agent is turning heads with his fresh approach to the property market.
Josh Brown, who has lived in Tadcaster his entire life, recently launched an independent estate agency after spending several years in the corporate sector.
He said: "I learned a huge amount from my time in corporate estate agency and met some brilliant people along the way.
"But I got to a stage where I had my own ideas about how I wanted to market homes and look after clients.

"I thought if I was ever going to back myself and build something of my own, now was the time to do it."
Mr Brown’s journey into estate agency began after school, where he admits he wasn’t particularly academic and unsure of his future direction.

However, once he entered the workforce, it quickly became clear that his strengths lay in property, people, and building relationships.
His decision to go independent is about more than just selling houses.
He said: "I've grown up around these businesses and this community, so I wanted to do something that wasn't just me constantly talking about houses.
"There are some brilliant independent businesses and some great characters locally.
"Going out, meeting them and helping get their name in front of more people has been one of the most enjoyable parts of starting the business.
"To have more than half a million views on the content has been amazing.
"Hopefully, it means more people are discovering some of the fantastic businesses we have on our doorstep."

Mr Brown has launched an 'Independent Business of the Week' series on social media, where he visits and promotes local businesses, helping to raise their profiles.
The content has already racked up more than half a million views.
Although community remains central to his approach, property is still at the heart of what he does.
He is keen to take a modern approach to marketing by using social media and video to tell the story behind each home, rather than relying solely on traditional property portals.
Mr Brown said: "People are trusting you with what is often their biggest asset, and I don't take that lightly.

"I want every homeowner I work with to feel like their property really matters.
"Being independent gives me the freedom to put my own personality into the marketing, spend time with people and give each property the attention it deserves."
Despite his growing online audience, his focus remains firmly rooted in Tadcaster.
He said: "I've lived in Tadcaster all my life, so I care about what happens here.
"I want to build a successful estate agency, but I also want to build a business people locally recognise and trust.
"Sometimes you've just got to back yourself and give it a go."
