Bradford Wetherspoon pubs to serve 30 ales during autumn beer festival

Three Wetherspoon pubs across Bradford are raising a glass to cask ale this month.

Wetherspoon pubs across Bradford are raising a glass to cask ale.

Three venues in the district are taking part in the pub chain’s 12-day autumn beer festival, which will run from October 7 to 18 and feature 30 cask ales, including five from international brewers.

The Turls Green in Centenary Square, The Myrtle Grove in Bingley, and The Obediah Brooke in Cleckheaton will all be taking part.

Chris Ashworth, manager of The Turls Green, said: "The festival is a great celebration of cask ale.

"It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb beers, featuring many not previously available to our customers in the pub, including those from brewers as far afield as China and Ukraine, as well as those closer to home, over a 12 day period.

"All of the beers will be available at great value-for-money prices."

The international line-up includes brewers from China, Singapore, Ukraine, the USA, and Denmark, marking the first time the pubs have served cask ale from Singapore and Ukraine.

Most of the beers have been brewed exclusively for the festival.

Three third-of-a-pint tasters will also be available for the price of a pint, and tasting notes will be provided in the festival magazine.
