Anty John's may be moving closer to becoming Amanda Owen's new family home, but Ravenseat remains firmly at the centre of the Owens' lives.

The distinction is made clear in new details released ahead of the fourth series of Our Farm Next Door.

Anty John's is now entering the third year of its renovation and will take another substantial step towards becoming habitable.

Wise Owl Films, the production company behind the show, said the building's plastered walls are "finally dry".

Floorboards will arrive, painting will start, and individual rooms will take shape with furniture collected by Amanda.

The family will also bring a piped water supply across the moors for the first time.

And by the end of the series, Amanda and the girls will prepare for their first sleepover inside the property.

Despite that progress, there is no suggestion in the advance information that life at Ravenseat is ending.

Quite the opposite.

Wise Owl Films said: "Meanwhile, in addition to all the hard work at Anty John's, life at Ravenseat carries on as usual."

The series will feature Christmas Day celebrations and the Easter lambing season.

Amanda, Clive and their children will continue looking after their huge flock of sheep as well as cows, goats, horses and ponies, peacocks and chickens.

The children's own storylines are also firmly connected to Ravenseat.

Edith will take charge of the cream tea van for walkers passing the farm.

Sid's tractor test is designed to allow him to take on more responsibility there.

Ravenseat remains the working farm around which much of their daily life revolves.

For viewers who have followed the Owens since the days of Our Yorkshire Farm, the new series is expected to show how the two places increasingly sit alongside one another in the family's life.
