Two Yorkshire theme parks have been named among the UK’s lowest-rated in a new national ranking.
Flamingo Land, near Malton, North Yorkshire, and Lightwater Valley, near Ripon, both appeared in the bottom 10 of 37 UK theme parks in a list based on Google review scores.
Compiled by web experts at OKPromo, the rankings were based on Google reviews as of October 2 and excluded attractions such as zoos, water parks, and indoor venues.
Flamingo Land ranked 31st with an average of 4.06 stars from 11,833 reviews, while Lightwater Valley placed just above at 30th with 4.07 stars from 5,751 reviews.
Cristian Constantin, web expert at OKPromo, said: "Most families check Google before they book a day out, and a theme park is one of the most expensive days out there is, so that star rating carries real weight.
"What surprised us is that the biggest names don't come out on top.
"The parks with the best scores are smaller ones aimed at young children, where people seem to feel they got their money's worth."
Lightwater Valley was acquired earlier this year by Mellors Group, which also runs Fantasy Island in Lincolnshire.
The UK’s highest-rated park was Paultons Park in Hampshire, with a score of 4.69 stars.
