FIREFIGHTERS have entered the fourth day of battling a blaze which has swept across a biomass depot in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service remain at the scene of the incident at the Seras facility in Great Heck, near Selby, today (Friday, September 2).
Fire crews are continuing to monitor the area and dampen down hotspots, a service spokesperson has said.
They added: "One crew is still at the scene this morning, working with on-site teams to dampen down remaining areas.
"Smoke levels are now minimal, but nearby residents may still wish to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution."
Heck and Pollington Lane remained closed this morning.
The roads, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said, will be reviewed later today.
