A mother-daughter team is stepping forward to lead the next chapter of a York communications business.
Jo.P. Communications Ltd, founded in 2009 by Jo Pickering FCIM, has welcomed her daughter Grace into the company to help steer its continued growth.
Grace brings a background in marketing and communications, with plans to expand the firm’s social media offering and help clients boost their digital presence.
Ms Pickering said: "After 17 years of running Jo.P. Communications, it feels incredibly exciting to be entering this next stage of the business with Grace.
"The way businesses market themselves has changed enormously since I first set up the company in 2009.
"Social media is now such an important part of how organisations communicate, build their profile and connect with their customers, and Grace brings a real passion and talent for that side of the business."
The company has built a reputation for delivering tailored marketing, communications, PR, and event management services to organisations across York and Yorkshire.
Grace said: "I'm incredibly proud to be joining forces with my mum, Jo, at Jo.P. Communications.
"Having graduated from Leeds Beckett University last year with a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Public Relations and Brand Communication, I'm excited to bring fresh ideas, digital expertise and a new generation of insight to the business as we continue to build on its success together."
The expanded team will allow the business to take on more clients while maintaining its hands-on, personalised approach.
Jo.P. Communications supports organisations across multiple sectors with services including social media management, content creation, website support, and full event management.
The business plans to grow its focus on digital content and social media management in its next phase of development.
Both Jo and Grace said they look forward to building on the company’s established reputation while embracing new opportunities in the evolving communications landscape.
