This was the moment some “dreadful driving” was captured on camera.
These were the words of North Yorkshire Police after the driver was fined heavily for their recklessness.
In what officers called a “shocking manoeuvre” the VW pulled across the path of two HGVs while travelling at more than 90mph.

It was filmed by a police safety camera van on the A1(M) at Junction 48, near Boroughbridge, on 9 January.
The driver was charged with driving without due care and attention, and speeding.
He pleaded guilty and was given six penalty points and ordered to pay more than £850 of fines and costs at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Wednesday (30 September).
After the hearing, Richard Fletcher from North Yorkshire Police said: “The consequences of this driving could have been extremely serious.
“Our safety camera vehicles can capture offences like this, ensuring that drivers who put others at risk are held to account for their actions.”
