A POPULAR Ben Rhydding music festival has now raised more than £202,000 for charity after another successful event brought the community together for a day of live entertainment and fundraising.

Pat's Party 2026, held on Saturday, June 27, raised a record-breaking £15,200, with donations shared between several charities and community organisations.

The annual family-friendly festival featured live music, food and drink, and entertainment for all ages, attracting supporters from across the area.

This year's beneficiaries were Save the Children (£5,500), Keighley Salvation Army Foodbank (£3,400), Bradford Central Foodbank (£2,800), Ben Rhydding Scout and Guide Group (£1,000), LivLife (£1,000), Cancer Research UK (£500) and Airedale Hospital Community Charity (£500).

Ash, from Save the Children, said: "The continued thanks of all of us at Save the Children go out to everyone involved in organising and running Pat's Party, and to all those who attended on the day.

"For over 20 years, Pat's Party has helped us to make sure children around the world are safer, healthier, and learning. The £5,500 raised by the party this year will support our work in the UK and internationally, at a time when many children need help more than ever.

"This amount could provide six water distribution points serving 300 families in Yemen or ensure that 12 children in Somalia can receive basic education for a whole academic year. We love Pat's Party and we can't wait to get back into the field in 2027."

Bradford Central Foodbank also highlighted the impact of the donation.

Josie said: "Your donation is so, so appreciated and means we'll be able to do a massive shop to provide vitally needed food. We estimate that this donation will provide 1,313 meals for hungry families in Bradford."

Jess, from LivLife, added: "Thank you so much for donating to LivLife. This will make a huge difference to the children, students and staff that rely on us every day at our education centre in Tanzania."

Pat's Party was founded in memory of Pat Evans, whose wish was for a small fundraising gathering to continue after her death.

Hosts and founding members Vic and Jackie Sedlak said: "We have hosted this event for over twenty years now in honour of our dear friend Pat Evans, who died shortly after organising a small gathering to raise money for famine relief.

"Before she died, she wrote us a note asking us to 'keep the little party going'.

"We are delighted that it has become so successful as a community event and in raising so much money to relieve suffering."

The couple also confirmed that Pat's Party will return next year, with the 2027 event taking place on Saturday, June 26.

They added: "We look forward to welcoming everyone to Pat's Party 2027 on Saturday 26th June 2027."
