Police have revealed why a road was closed in Bradford this morning.
At around 6am and 7am, the Haworth Road end of Toller Lane in the Heaton/Allerton area was shut.
This is because West Yorkshire Police had been called to help with a badly injured deer.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called to assist with the dispatch of a badly injured deer."
A photograph shared on social media showed a police vehicle at the scene, and what appeared to be a police barrier or cordon on the floor.
The Haworth Road end of Toller Lane is situated near Haworth Road Methodist Church, Our Lady and the First Martyrs Church, and close to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Toller Lane meets Haworth Road around the BD9 postcode area.
