FIREFIGHTERS will take on a 10K challenge in full operational gear to raise funds for charity.

Crews from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service will run the Morley 10K this Sunday, in different levels of operational PPE - including full fire kit with breathing apparatus (BA) and wildfire kit - to support The Fire Fighters Charity.

They will be joined by colleagues from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

Last year the challenge raised more than £2,500.

People are encouraged to come out and cheer on the runners, meet their local firefighters, explore a fire engine, and get involved in community activities on the day.
