A ROAD in Bradford is set to be temporarily closed for water works.

Lidget Place will be shut between No. 65 and No. 79 for the duration of the works, according to an order by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

This closure, which does not apply to vehicles used for the works, is to start on October 7 at 8am and is expected to last until October 9 at 6pm.

The closure can, however, be extended for up to 18 months if deemed necessary.

Pedestrian access along the closed section will be maintained throughout the works.

Alternative routes for vehicles are available via the unaffected section of Lidget Place, Beckside Road, and Lidget Terrace.

The council has issued the order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
