ITV is switching up the Emmerdale and Coronation Street TV schedules next week due to the broadcaster airing a football match on Tuesday evening (October 6).
It’s not unusual for ITV to broadcast a football match, and this time, the UEFA Nations League will disrupt the usual schedule that soap fans are used to.
Here's what we know about the TV schedule for soaps in the coming days.

Emmerdale and Coronation Street soap schedules to change next week
While Emmerdale and Coronation Street will mostly follow their usual schedules next week, there is an exception.
That's because Scotland's Nations League match against Slovenia will kick off at 7.45pm on Tuesday, with coverage starting from 7.30pm.
These broadcast times mean the football match will cross over both slots for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether fans will be able to watch an episode on Sunday instead.
Corrie actor joins cast of BBC’s Nightsleeper
Sally Lindsey, who is best known for playing Shelley Barlow in Coronation Street, has been confirmed to be joining Nightsleeper for its second series.
It is currently being filmed in Belfast and will involve six episodes that are set to be broadcast next year.
Sally is not the only new star being added to the cast, with Rupert Penry-Jones, who has starred in shows like The Feud and Those About to Die, also joining the show.
While the first season took place on an overnight train from Glasgow to London, the new series will take place on a ferry in the Irish Sea.
The ferry and its crew are set to be thrown into chaos in a cyber-attack, with the ship’s engineer, Johnny, who will be played by Christian Cooke, having to work with the National Cyber Security Centre to avoid disaster.
