Newcastle United star Joelinton swapped Premier League pressure for spine-tingling scares at a popular North East's Halloween attractions.

The Brazilian midfielder visited Psycho Path, the award-winning scare park at Lintz Hall Farm in Burnopfield, and said he was "genuinely surprised" by the experience.

Joelinton said: "Couldn’t wait to come back again with his family."

Newcastle and Sunderland players have visited the park in previous years.

Christiano Crawford, creator and director of Psycho Path, said: "It’s a genuine honour to host players of this calibre."

"To really enter into the spirit of Psycho Path is not something a lot of high-profile athletes would do, but he loved it and was a real gentleman.

"He brought his family with him, and they were also brilliant sports who got involved with everything and said they had a brilliant night.

"We’re extremely excited for this season and we can’t thank him enough for taking the time out to come and experience Psycho Path."

The scare attraction opens every weekend, with immersive experiences including several revamped for this year.

Visitor favourites Vandalised, Dolls House, IScream and Crawl Space have all been expanded and updated for this year.
