The new series of Our Farm Next Door was filmed across winter 2025 and spring 2026, meaning viewers will be watching events recorded several months before transmission.

The fourth series will once again follow Amanda Owen, former husband Clive and their children at Ravenseat and Anty John's.

Wise Owl Films, the production company behind the programme, said filming took place "across Winter 2025 and Spring 2026".

That period covers a significant stage in the restoration of Anty John's.

The company said the ambitious project is entering its third year.

One of the biggest changes will be inside the farmhouse.

Wise Owl Films said the plastered walls are "finally dry", allowing the family to move forward with floorboards, painting and furniture.

The programme will also show the family facing one of its largest practical challenges.

A piped water supply will be brought across the moors and into the farmhouse for the first time.

The winter conditions are expected to make the job particularly difficult.

Meanwhile, the programme will continue documenting everyday life at Ravenseat.

Christmas Day will feature, followed by winter and eventually the busy Easter lambing season.

The changing lives of the children will also be captured over the period.

Nancy continues to dream about becoming a ballerina as well as a farmer.

Edith is preparing for key exams and taking on responsibility for the cream tea van.

Sid will prepare for his tractor test.

Amanda will also spend more time uncovering Anty John's history.

Wise Owl Films said she will learn more about Anthony Clarkson, his wife Mally and their children and consider parallels between their family and her own.

Another episode will take Amanda and some of the children away from the farm to Beamish Museum, where they will look for inspiration for a cupboard bed.

The series will eventually reach the height of spring.

And Wise Owl Films has teased that it will end on a "never-to-be-forgotten day" as Amanda and the girls prepare for their first sleepover at Anty John's.

That means the new series covers the point at which the long-running renovation begins to shift visibly from major building project towards a functioning family home.

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids returns to More4 on Monday, October 5.
