A site manager from York has won a prestigious industry award for his work on a housing development.
Paul Douglass, 55, received the Seal of Excellence Award from the National Home Building Council (NHBC) as part of its Pride in the Job Awards, which recognise outstanding performance in housebuilding across the UK.
Mr Douglass was honoured for his role at Redrow’s Kingsley Manor development in Harrogate.
He said: "I am elated; I honestly never expected to win this award, especially as the development is nearing the end of completion."
The Pride in the Job Awards are regarded as the "Oscars" of the housebuilding industry and have been running for 46 years.
John Handley, managing director at Redrow Yorkshire, added: "Congratulations to Paul and the team at Kingsley Manor. These awards showcase what it takes to be a top site manager, and demonstrate our long-term commitment to looking after our customers."
