A public meeting will give residents in York the chance to share their views and shape future decisions on the water industry.
Rachael Maskell, MP for York Central, is hosting the event to bring together residents and industry representatives to discuss concerns about water services and influence how the industry should operate in the future.
The meeting will take place at the Friargate Quaker Meeting House on Thursday, October 8, from 6pm to 8pm.
Ms Maskell said: "I, like so many in York Central and the country, am extremely concerned about the direction of our water industry.
"We can often feel a lack of power to influence the future direction, which is why it is so important that we come together to formulate a plan for the city moving forward.
"Engagement from both Yorkshire Water and the Environment Agency on this is vital to get the lasting change we need, and it is therefore great that they are able to have representatives at such an event."
A spokesperson for Ms Maskell’s office said she has received significant feedback from constituents on the issue and believes it is important for the community to raise their concerns directly with those who have the power to make changes.
