Yorkshire Pumpkins has been named the UK’s best pumpkin patch, topping a national ranking based on visitor reviews.
Located in Cundall, near York, the patch earned an average rating of 4.94 out of five from 109 Google reviews in a study of UK pumpkin patches with more than 100 reviews.
The research was carried out by family holiday specialists Ski Famille.
Alex Dyer, managing director at Ski Famille, said: "Pumpkin picking has become a proper family day out, and the cost can creep up quickly once you add entry, a pumpkin each and a tractor ride.
"What comes through in the reviews is that families are happy to pay when there’s plenty to do and a good choice of pumpkins."
Visitors to Yorkshire Pumpkins praised the variety on offer and the affordability of the experience.
One reviewer described it as “not overcrowded or overpriced".
Another Yorkshire site also made the top five.
The Pumpkin Patch at Bewholme, near Driffield, ranked fifth with an average rating of 4.79 from 167 reviews.
The study excluded patches where most reviews focused on other seasons or broader farm activities.
Common complaints among lower-ranked patches included paying for entry and then being charged again for pumpkins, rides, and food.
