Film and catering vehicles parked at the old Richard Dunn Sports Centre have sparked speculation among residents about what could be filming in Bradford.

The T&A visited the Odsal site on Thursday morning and found a number of production-related vehicles in the car park of the Grade II-listed former sports centre.

Among them were vans belonging to Lime & Ginger Catering, a company which specialises in providing catering services for TV and film productions.

Vehicles bearing the logo of 2Valleys, a firm that supplies equipment hire and landscape construction services for the TV and film industry, were also present.

Site used for filming previously

The Richard Dunn Sports Centre is no stranger to film crews.

In September 2024, the site was transformed for filming on Danny Boyle's post-apocalyptic horror sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which was released in cinemas earlier this year.

Adding to the intrigue, Lime & Ginger lists The Bone Temple among the productions it has previously worked on, prompting some speculation that the activity at Richard Dunn Sports Centre could be linked to the planned third and final instalment of the 28 Years Later trilogy.

The forthcoming film is expected to star Cillian Murphy, who appeared in the original 28 Days Later.

No official confirmation

However, any connection remains purely speculative.

There has been no official confirmation of what is currently being filmed at the site.

In May, Boyle indicated that he did not expect production on the trilogy's final chapter to begin until 2027.

For now, the presence of the film and catering crews remains a mystery.

The T&A have approached Bradford Council for comment.
