Two men have been charged after police found more than £1 million worth of liquid spice hidden in a Bradford district basement.
Officers recovered 35 litres of the synthetic cannabinoid from the basement of a property in Haworth on Tuesday as part of an investigation led by West Yorkshire Police's county lines taskforce.
The force said the operation targeted "a drugs line linked to the supply of the synthetic cannabinoid" after "a number of overdoses involving vulnerable users in and around the city centre."
2 addresses searched
Officers searched addresses in Dean Street, Haworth, and Woodlands Street, Black Abbey, Bradford.
The liquid recovered from the Haworth address was tested and confirmed to be spice, a controlled Class B drug, with an estimated street value of more than £1 million.
A second warrant at the Bradford address uncovered around £10,000 in cash, and officers seized mobile phones for examination.
The charges
Haaris Hussain, 35, of Dean Street, Haworth, and Awais Mustapha, 28, of Woodlands Street, Bradford, are both charged with being concerned in supplying a Class B drug.
The pair also face charges of requiring a person to perform forced or compulsory labour under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Hussain also faces a charge of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply.
