A NEW Acting Chief Executive Officer is stepping in to lead Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Phil Hubbard, currently director of nursing, professions and care standards and deputy chief executive, will take on the role from October 6 to cover the 12-month secondment of current CEO Therese Patten.

Ms Patten will serve as interim chief executive at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Chair in Common, Sarah Jones, said: "I’m delighted that Phil has agreed to step in as our Acting Chief Executive Officer to support the Trust during the period of Therese’s secondment.

"Phil brings with her considerable Board level, clinical and operational experience.

"I am therefore confident that she has the skills to lead the Trust while Therese is away.

"We wish Therese well in her secondment at NLaG."
