A County Durham motorist has been disqualified from driving for six months after failing to identify the driver of a vehicle linked to an alleged offence.

William Milburn, of Gordon Lane, Ramshaw, Bishop Auckland, was found guilty in his absence at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on August 3.

The court heard the 56-year-old failed to provide information to Durham Constabulary relating to the identification of the driver of a Ford vehicle.

The original alleged offence took place on December 19, 2025, in Spennymoor.
