A whisky distillery in Yorkshire has revealed details of the final sherry cask reserve.

Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery launched Filey Bay Sherry Cask Reserve #7 as the concluding release in its Sherry Cask Reserve series.

Joe Clark, whisky director at Spirit of Yorkshire, said: "Filey Bay Sherry Cask Reserve #7 is the perfect whisky to celebrate a decade of distilling Yorkshire whisky.

"I've always loved putting this release together as it's all about finding a beautiful combination of our rarest sherry casks.

"This year, for the final Sherry Cask Reserve in this series, I had a clear idea of the flavours I was looking for – cherries and dark chocolate."

This edition is matured in a blend of ex-Pedro Ximénez and ex-Moscatel casks.

Bottled at 46 per cent ABV, the single malt is made using 100 per cent homegrown, regeneratively farmed barley.

It is a limited edition of 2,000 bottles, priced at £85 each.
