A recruitment company based near York has gone into liquidation with debts approaching £30,000.

The Recruitment Group 2.0 was registered in Bilton-in-Ainsty and was incorporated in 2021.

It entered voluntary liquidation on September 17 and FRP Advisory Ltd of Sheffield was appointed voluntary liquidator.

Companies House records the sole director as Ruben Wilberg.

A liquidator’s report known as a statement of affairs has outlined the finances behind the company.

It said the business had estimated total assets available for distribution of £2,674.90.

There were no preferential creditors – those who are paid first.

However, HMRC is listed as the only secondary preferential creditor – those who are paid next.

It was owed £175 in indirect taxes.

This left £2,742.90 available to distribute to unsecured creditors.

The statement of affairs reported unsecured non-preferential claims totalling £29,073.78.

This was made up of unsecured creditors owed £11,998.78; HMRC owed £75 in NIC and HMRC owed a further £17,000 in corporation tax.

This gave an estimated deficiency of £26,600.88.

With the business having issued and called up capital of £1,000, this gave a total shortfall or deficiency of £27,600.88.
