A Halloween event will take over York Mansion House this October.
'A Truly York Halloween Spooktacular,' a one-night-only event hosted by the York Civic Party, will be held on Friday, October 23, from 7pm to 10pm.
The evening is in support of the Lord Mayor’s chosen charity, York Cares, and community group Shared York.
Councillor Margaret Well, Lord Mayor of York, said: "We are thrilled to open the doors of the York Mansion House for an evening that celebrates York's famously haunted heritage while supporting vital local charities.
"With limited tickets available, it is set to be an exclusive and enchanting night for everyone involved.
"This event was a sell-out and a highlight in my last civic year, so I'm pleased that the event is returning."
Guests will be welcomed with a spooky cocktail created by The Potions Cauldron Group, followed by a traditional pie and pea supper.
The night will include a 'hidden souls' hunt around the mansion, a walking tour led by York’s 'Mad Alice' from The Bloody Tour of York, and a return to the mansion for a final intimate tale.
The evening ends with a 45-minute live performance from singer Izzy Hartley.
