Bikers asked if they really think they are safe riders - Feedback now could save a life later

Here’s a message from North Yorkshire Police to all motorcyclists.

Be honest. When was the last time someone took a proper look at your riding? Not your mate. Not the person you ride out with every Sunday.

Someone who really knows their stuff.

There are some last-minute places on the BikeSafe course this weekend, giving you the chance to head out with an experienced police motorcyclist and get some expert feedback on your riding.

It’s not a test and it’snot about catching you out.

It’s a chance to sharpen your skills, improve your observations, pick up some useful advice and hopefully become an even better, safer rider.

And the best bit? You get to spend a good part of the day doing what you enjoy best, riding your bike!

Police have only got a limited number of spaces available, so if BikeSafe has been sitting on your “I’ll do that one day” list, this weekend could be the opportunity.
