'At the moment, I'm living life to the max'
Sir Kevin invites people living with MND and their families to join him for an extra mile.
Phil Ward, who was diagnosed with MND in 2019, came to show his support at the hotel.
Mr Ward said: "I was diagnosed at the same time as Rob Burrow, and I’m still going strong."
He added: "I’ve met Kevin a few times and he’s an amazing man.
"He’s raising awareness because there’s no cure and no treatment for MND.

Mr Ward has worked for Yorkshire Water for 44 years and first noticed symptoms while playing football.
He said: "I used to play for a local football club where we did sprints.
"One day, I felt my left foot drop, which is a symptom of MND.
"You don’t notice the onset all at once – it’s very gradual."
Mr Ward banged a drum seven times to see Kevin off on the next leg of his journey.
