A FORMER police officer is set to appear in court charged with sexual assault by penetration.
Detective Sergeant Melanie Baker, who served with West Yorkshire Police, is accused of committing the offence against a woman in Wakefield on August 6, 2009.
She was off duty at the time of the alleged incident and has since retired from the force.
