AN inclusive festival is set to return, promising a packed week of activities and creative fun.
SENDiVERSE, designed for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), will take place in the Bradford district from October 26 to 30.
The festival will feature more than 60 activities, including scuba diving, poetry workshops, and LEGO building.
Ibrar Ali, community development manager at The Leap, said: "SENDiVERSE is about creating opportunities where SEND children and young people feel that activities have been designed with them in mind, rather than asking them to fit into something that already exists.
"We want children, young people and families to feel welcome in spaces across Bradford, to make connections and to have the freedom to discover something they enjoy.
"Ultimately, SENDiVERSE is about showing what can happen when inclusion is part of the thinking from the very beginning."
Led by The Leap, the festival aims to help children explore new interests in a supportive environment.
Most activities are free, and bookings can be made directly with the hosting organisations.
Last year’s SENDiVERSE saw more than 3,000 people take part, with 61 per cent of attendees identifying as having a disability.
