A NEW chief operating officer has been appointed to help drive growth and service excellence.

Airedale Group, known for its commercial kitchen design, installation, and service expertise, has named Leasa Darlington as group chief operating officer in a newly created role.

She brings 25 years of experience from Johnson Controls and will focus on strengthening service delivery and equipping colleagues with the tools, information and support they need.

Charlotte Bywell, co-CEO of Airedale Group, said: "Leasa understands what it takes to deliver excellent service at scale.

"Her leadership will help us turn our investment in people, technology and training into lasting improvements for customers, while supporting our colleagues to do their best work."

Ms Darlington will initially focus on the group’s service businesses, expanding her remit to include projects and installation over time.

She said: "What attracted me to Airedale was the depth of expertise in its teams and the importance of the work they do.

"My first priority is to spend time with colleagues and customers, listening to what works well and where we can make their experience better."

The appointment follows recent changes to the group’s executive team, including the addition of a co-CEO and chief commercial officer.
