A Bradford beauty salon is celebrating after being named among the finalists in this year's Top 10 Best Beauty Salons competition for the second consecutive year.

Bliss Beauty, on Stony Lane in Eccleshill, has secured a place on the shortlist as it prepares to mark a major milestone, with the business set to celebrate 18 years in operation this December.

Owner Rebecca Hall said being recognised again made the achievement even more special as the salon approaches its anniversary.

"We're really proud to have been named in the Top 10 Best Beauty Salons for the second year running," she said.

"It feels even more special this year as we'll also be celebrating 18 years in business this December."

Family atmosphere behind salon's success

Bliss Beauty is run by a small team of three and has built a loyal customer base over nearly two decades.

Ms Hall said the salon's welcoming atmosphere and long-standing relationships with customers have been key to its success.

She said: "We've got so many loyal clients who have been coming to us for years...after nearly 18 years you get to know your clients and their families so well, and they've been such a big part of our journey."

Investing in staff and future talent

Working alongside Mrs Hall are therapist Erin, who joined the salon five years ago after studying at Yorkshire College of Beauty, and junior therapist Daisy, who is currently completing her beauty training while gaining experience in the salon.

Ms Hall said: "It's been lovely watching Erin grow and develop over the years and she's now a fantastic, experienced member of the team."

She added that Daisy is already qualified in lash treatments and continues to develop her skills while offering selected treatments at lower prices.

New treatments on the horizon

Bliss Beauty offers a range of treatments including facials, massage, nails, waxing, lashes, spray tanning and make-up.

The team is also preparing to undertake further professional training from October, allowing the salon to introduce new Spanish-inspired treatments.

Ms Hall said: "Even after nearly 18 years, I still think it's really important that we keep learning and bringing something new to the salon."

Thanking loyal customers

Reflecting on the Top 10 recognition, Mrs Hall said the salon's success would not have been possible without the support of its customers.

She said: "I'm incredibly proud of our little team and everything we've achieved together.

"Most of all, I'm so grateful to all our clients who have supported us over the years.

"Their loyalty, recommendations and friendship have helped Bliss Beauty become what it is today and we genuinely couldn't have done it without them."
