YORKSHIRE Water has launched a region-wide rollout of digital calling cards after a successful trial.
The cards, used by wastewater teams, provide customers with video updates explaining work carried out at their properties using the Vyntelligence Video Intelligence Platform.
Liam Mite, operational delivery manager at Yorkshire Water, said: "What we’ve found so far from the teams who are trialling the new ‘digital’ calling cards, is a really positive response from customers.
"Our field techs are able to show the full investigation, in real-time, that they are carrying out.
"They can share commentary of inside the wastewater network and also explain what they have done to fix the problem."
The video cards help reduce repeat calls and complaints by clearly showing customers what has been done, even if they are not at home during the visit.
Yorkshire Water said the technology also helps identify potential network issues and supports long-term planning.
