A SCHOOL has received free laptops to help families get online and improve their digital skills.
Cavendish Primary School in Bradford was given ten laptops by Accent Housing to support parents and families with employment workshops and essential online services.
The donation aims to tackle digital exclusion by giving families the tools they need to build confidence with technology and access services that are increasingly online.
Jonathan Nixon, headteacher at Cavendish Primary School, said: "We are extremely grateful to Accent Housing for this generous donation.
"Access to technology is increasingly essential in modern life, whether for employment, learning or accessing important services.
"These laptops will enable us to offer practical support to families and help remove barriers that some members of our community face."
The laptops will be used during community sessions and workshops to help parents gain skills that could improve job prospects and support their families.
Lizzy Robinson, regional specialist housing manager at Accent Housing, said: "We know that access to technology can open doors to new opportunities.
"By working alongside Cavendish Primary School, we hope these laptops will help families build confidence online, develop new skills and access the support and services they need."
