Visitors are being invited to embrace the colours, flavours and traditions of the season as a historic North Yorkshire estate celebrates the bounty of the earth through a special autumn exhibition.
Kiplin Hall and Gardens, between Northallerton and Richmond, is staging the display throughout October and November, with gratitude at its heart.
The exhibition explores food, cultivation and the estate’s historic links to Maryland.

Alice Rose, curator at Kiplin Hall, said: "There’s lots to learn from our Thanksgiving displays this year.
"One of my favourite sections explores the Three Sisters: beans, squash and corn.
"Grown and cultivated by Native Americans, beans, squash and corn became an important part of the colonists’ diet.

"Native Americans shared their knowledge of the land and this style of companion planting with colonists.
"We see these foods in Thanksgiving dishes today.
"Like pumpkin pie, cornbread and succotash."
The Three Sisters method grows beans, squash and corn together and was shared by Native Americans with colonists.
Visitors can see the crops growing in Kiplin Hall’s Walled Garden and enjoy seasonal dishes in the café.

Ms Rose said: "While learning about this and other elements of Thanksgiving, we invite visitors to think about what they are grateful for.
"As a charity, we rely on more than 240 volunteers, so gratitude is central to our ethos."
Kiplin Hall’s Maryland connection comes through the Calvert family, so the estate marks Thanksgiving, held on the fourth Thursday of November.
Visitors can make a 3D paper pumpkin and share messages of thanks from Friday, October 2.
A Tree Trail around the grounds invites visitors to walk further and enjoy the seasonal colours.
