AN East Yorkshire pub has been acquired by Punch Pubs & Co and will soon undergo refurbishment.

The Tiger Inn, located in Market Place, Driffield, will become part of Punch’s Unity Social division and is set for a refurbishment later this year.

The improvements at the pub, which was built in 1823, follow a similar £180,000 renovation from the Craft Union Pub Company in 2023.

Henry Boshier, acquisitions manager at Punch Pubs & Co, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for Punch, and I’m delighted to welcome the Tiger Inn into our Punch family.

"As always, it remains our priority to ensure the pub continues to thrive at the heart of the community."

Christian Gregory, operations manager, said: "We have secured a wonderful pub in a superb location in Driffield.

"I am excited to get in and explore how we can improve the guest experience following the refurbishment."

Punch Pubs & Co is actively seeking further acquisitions that fit its "modern, progressive vision and growth plans," including both single sites and larger packages.
