Cold weather relief to begin in October with over 600 spots

For people without a home, life becomes even more difficult when winter arrives. Many then seek shelter at night in an emergency shelter.

The official start date for the cold relief season is October 1, according to an announcement by LIGA, the coalition of leading independent welfare organizations. During the particularly cold months from November through March, approximately 1,000 beds are expected to be available. As announced at a press conference, the program will begin in October with approximately 670 beds.
