Prince William and Catherine met the former Leeds Rhinos star at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Tuesday (Sep 29), where he arrived as part of his latest fundraising effort for the motor neurone disease (MND) community.
The royal couple applauded Sir Kevin and his running team before meeting members of the MND community and speaking with supporters.
Sir Kevin is completing seven ultra marathons in seven days, travelling through rugby league communities across the North of England.
Inspired by his former teammate and close friend Rob Burrow, who died from MND in 2024, Sir Kevin has raised more than £11 million for MND causes since beginning his fundraising challenges in 2020.
The Yorkshire Post's photographs capture the royal visit and Sir Kevin's arrival in Wakefield.
