Jeremy Clarkson's Porsche has been recalled immediately over safety fears.
The Yorkshire television presenter and journalist is best known for his decades of reviewing cars on programmes including Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
In recent years, he has become equally associated with farming, with Mr Clarkson running Diddly Squat Farm.
The operation has become the focus of the hit Prime Video series Clarkson's Farm.
The show has followed the challenges of running the farm, as well as the launch of Diddly Squat Farm Shop and a pub venture in the Cotswolds.
Despite his move into agriculture and rural business, Mr Clarkson has continued to write motoring columns and review new vehicles, regularly sharing his views on the latest cars in national newspapers and magazines.
The 66-year-old's latest column for The Times focused on a highly modified Porsche 911 from American firm Gunther Werks.
Despite Mr Clarkson's excitement to review the car, the vehicle was unexpectedly recalled before he had the chance to spend significant time behind the wheel.
"[This is a] car I was hoping to drive a lot more than I did," he wrote in the article.
"This is a Porsche 911 993 that’s tuned and tweaked and restored by an American company called Gunther Werks, so that it’s now a million-horsepower, million-pound restomod.
"Perfect for winding up readers who think I should only review cars everyone can afford. Trabants mainly.
"Well relax, comrades, I can’t review that either because after a short drive to the pub and back, during which I discovered it was very fast, very bumpy and very, very mechanical, Gunther called to say its other demonstrator had had some kind of problem and it needed the one it had lent me back asap."
