A Scarborough-based HR leader has been appointed senior cluster manager at Elite Venue Selection.
Mark Johnston, who chairs the North Yorkshire branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), will now oversee a group of hotels, shaping brand values and supporting operational growth.
Mr Johnston said: "I started my journey with CIPD back in 2015, and volunteering gave me the chance to give something back to a community that shaped my career.
"Being elected Branch Chair was one of the proudest moments of my career, and what we’ve built in North Yorkshire, from events and collaborations with universities and employers to a 30-member committee, shows what’s possible when people support one another’s development.
"It’s that same belief in people that I’m bringing into my new role, making sure every hotel delivers exceptional service thanks to its dedicated leadership team."
Mr Johnston will be appearing at the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition in November.
