This year’s event marks four decades of Ashlands Bonfire, with organisers pulling out all the stops to make the 40th anniversary a celebration to remember.
Ste Hallam, the event coordinator said: “Ashlands Bonfire has been bringing people together for 40 years, and we want this year’s event to be something really special. We’re incredibly excited to celebrate the 40th anniversary with our biggest-ever fireworks display, while keeping everything that people love about Ashlands Bonfire; the family atmosphere, food, drinks and, of course, the bonfire itself.
“Tickets have sold out in previous years, so we’d strongly recommend getting yours early. We’d hate for anyone to miss out on what promises to be our biggest and best bonfire yet.”

The Ashlands Bonfire is a volunteer-run community event, organised by a dedicated team of parents, staff, school alumni and local volunteers who give their time to make the evening possible. The event is run to support the school, with all profits from ticket sales, food and drink and other activities going directly back into projects and activities at the school. By coming along and enjoying the bonfire, families are not only supporting a much-loved local tradition but also helping to fund opportunities and improvements for pupils at the school.
