The latest episode of Emmerdale last night was packed with drama, as Sadie's search for Jimmy's missing money threatened to expose her secret, Joe's plans for the baby left Kim devastated, and Vinny faced fresh heartbreak.
Sadie's search for Jimmy's money takes a risky turn
Determined to help Nicola find out what has happened to Jimmy's missing cash, Sadie and Robert became convinced the money was hidden at the Depot.
To get closer to the truth, Sadie pretended to take an interest in Ruby's wine business and spent time bonding with her over a wine-tasting session. While Ruby was distracted, Sadie seized the opportunity to search for any sign of the missing money.
Her plan quickly unravelled when Caleb caught her snooping. With little room for excuses, Sadie was forced to admit that she was looking for Jimmy's cash on Nicola's behalf. Although Caleb now knows more than she would have liked, the search still failed to uncover any clues as to where the money might be.
Later, after continuing to drink with Ruby, Sadie came dangerously close to revealing even more. In a drunken slip-up, she mentioned a fling with Federico in New York last Christmas before eventually passing out. While Ruby did not seem to make much of the revelation at the time, viewers may be wondering whether the comment could come back to haunt Sadie in the weeks ahead.
Kim horrified by Joe's plan for the baby
Elsewhere, Kim headed to the hospital hoping to see the baby, only to discover she had been prevented from doing so.
She was left shocked when she learned that Joe had not only barred visitors from seeing the child, but was also moving ahead with plans to have the baby adopted.
Unable to understand his decision, Kim desperately tried to talk him around and persuade him to reconsider. Despite her efforts, Joe refused to change his mind, leaving Kim upset and frustrated as she realised there was little she could do to influence the situation.
The disagreement is likely to deepen tensions between the pair as the storyline continues to unfold.
Gabby's health worries continue
There was also concern for Gabby after her lingering cough prompted Manpreet to carry out an examination.
Suspecting she may be suffering from bronchitis, Manpreet prescribed a course of antibiotics and advised her to begin treatment. However, Gabby's growing obsession with "clean eating" appeared to affect her judgement, with her privately questioning whether she even wanted to take the medication.
While the diagnosis itself seemed relatively straightforward, Gabby's reluctance to follow medical advice could create further problems if her condition deteriorates.
Nicola leans on Laurel for support
The emotional fallout from Jimmy's actions continued to weigh heavily on Nicola.
Clearly struggling, she opened up about Jimmy's voicemails while Laurel offered a sympathetic ear and took her home. The scenes highlighted just how exhausted and heartbroken Nicola has become as she continues to deal with everything that has happened.
Laurel did her best to support her friend, although she admitted there was only so much she could do to ease Nicola's pain.
Vinny left heartbroken
Meanwhile, there was sadness elsewhere in the village when Lewis decided to end his relationship with Vinny.
The split came as a painful blow, leaving Vinny heartbroken as he tried to process what had happened. Seeing his distress, Mandy stepped in to offer comfort and reassurance, but the scenes suggested Vinny still has a difficult road ahead.
With emotions running high, viewers will be watching closely to see whether the breakup is truly the end for the pair or whether there could eventually be a way back for them.
