A CHARITY hub in Bradford has received more than £6,000 to support people living with dementia.
Bradford Dementia Hub was backed by three Tesco stores in the city, which raised the funds through tombolas, raffles and bucket collections.
The stores involved were Bradford Great Horton Road Extra, Bradford Peel Centre and Bradford Queensbury Superstores.
Lauren Dowie, dementia services manager at Bradford Dementia Hub, said: "We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Tesco and its customers for their fundraising efforts, raising an amazing £6,000 for Bradford Dementia Hub.
"This donation will have a lasting impact on people living with dementia and their carers across the community."
The funds will help the hub support grassroots community groups to purchase equipment and resources for engaging, social and meaningful activities.
These activities aim to help people with dementia stay active and connected, while also reducing social isolation and improving wellbeing.
Kamran Asif, checkout team manager at Bradford Great Horton Road Extra, said: "We’re honoured to support Bradford Dementia Hub and the incredible work they do for people living with dementia and their loved ones.
"As a store, we’re proud to play our part in raising awareness and supporting such an important local cause."
Bradford Dementia Hub provides advice and support to people diagnosed with dementia and their families.
