The mission goes on after incredible whirlwind of Harrogate orchestra's debut season

A new Harrogate orchestra which has already established itself as a leading cultural pioneer for classical music has launched its annual appeal to push its groundbreaking vision forward.

Launched at the Royal Hall in Harrogate in 2025, Cuore Chamber Orchestra is gearing up for the launch of its second season this November after a whirlwind series of concerts in year one in Harrogate and Leeds.

Its aims go beyond musical excellence in an era when financial security is more important than ever to classical music and harder to secure.

As well as being an acclaimed orchestra boasting some of the best young musicians in the UK, the Cuore is also a charity dedicated to delivering educational outreach programmes to enhance the musical awareness of schoolchildren in Yorkshire.

“After such an exciting and successful first year, we are delighted to be back in the Royal Hall performing with the incredible musicians of Cuore,” said the orchestra’s Yorkshire-born Founder and Artistic Director William Dutton.

"As we embark upon our second season, it’s also the time to launch our Annual Appeal to gather the vital funds needed to accomplish our mission.”

“We can only fund our music through a combination of event revenue supported by the generosity of our donors, benefactors and sponsors.”

There are several ways of supporting Cuore Chamber Orchestra’s work, from becoming a Friend or Patron, to a straightforward donation.

One keen supporter is Lucy-Ann Kirkham, a consultant solicitor who lives in Harrogate.

"To have an orchestra of such wonderfully talented musicians performing in local venues is an enormous privilege, and something I feel very fortunate to be able to support,” said Lucy-Ann.

"I particularly enjoy hosting the brilliant musicians who come to perform with Cuore.

"They quite literally bring a different world with them and it is a real pleasure getting to know the people behind the extraordinary music we hear on stage.

"Their talent, dedication and enthusiasm make supporting the Cuore journey incredibly rewarding.”

Cuore Chamber Orchestra’s next concert will take place on Friday, November 6 at the Royal Hall in Harrogate.
