Watch: Disqualified driver jailed after leading police on 130mph pursuit through Harrogate district
A disqualified driver who led police on a 130mph pursuit through the Harrogate district in the early hours of the morning has been jailed.
Mohammed Muqadas Hussain, 22, of Heaton Road in Huddersfield, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance following the dramatic pursuit on Wednesday, September 23.
York Magistrates' Court sentenced Hussain to 12 months in prison.
He was also banned from driving for a further 18 months and ordered to pay court costs.

The pursuit began at around 12.48am after a vehicle failed to stop for officers from Durham Police before crossing into North Yorkshire.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit picked up the vehicle on the A1(M) at Junction 50, with Hussain continuing south at high speed in an attempt to evade police.
During the pursuit, he reached speeds of more than 130mph.
At one point, he drove at 110mph in a 30mph zone and went the wrong way around a roundabout near Morrisons in Minskip.
The vehicle then continued along the A6055 towards Knaresborough Golf Club before eventually coming to a stop on Blackthorn Avenue in Knaresborough.
Hussain fled on foot but was arrested by officers a short time later.
North Yorkshire Police said the case was brought before the courts within 48 hours of the incident, with Hussain appearing before magistrates on Friday, September 25, where he was sentenced to immediate imprisonment.
The force has released footage of the pursuit, describing it as an example of the dangers faced by roads policing officers while tackling motorists who put other road users at risk.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "The footage shows just some of the dangerous driving our officers faced that night.
"Our Roads Policing officers work around the clock to target those who put themselves and other road users at risk.
"If you're disqualified, don't drive. If you fail to stop for us, expect our officers to come after you."
The spokesperson also apologised to residents of Blackthorn Avenue in Knaresborough for the disturbance caused during the arrest in the early hours of the morning.
