A North East deli has become a social media sensation, with videos of its towering sandwiches, loaded chip bags and indulgent desserts is leaving food fans drooling.
La Cucina Lounge Deli in Team Valley, Gateshead, has taken social media by storm, with TikTok videos of its American-inspired comfort food racking up thousands of views and turning the eatery into a must-visit spot for foodies.
The deli, located just off the A1 near Sainsbury’s, has built a loyal following for its 'Instagrammable' menu and bold flavours.
Some of its standout items include the Al Capone double smash burger, topped with pickles and pastrami-style brisket, and honey chilli chicken tenders served with loaded fries and brisket gravy.
The Godfather Burger, featuring three beef patties, American cheese and smoked streaky bacon, has also become a fan favourite.
Customer reviews paint a picture of high-quality, generously portioned dishes served with a smile.
On TikTok, a clip raked in over one million views of a brioche burger featuring beef and gammon with stuffing, topped with gravy.
"I've never gasped at a food before," said one.
"God...this looks so good," wrote another. "Give me 14 of them," added a third.
One customer described their visit as "outstanding" and praised the food as "fresh, tasty".
Another singled out the Yorkshire pudding wrap as "really delicious," highlighting the perfectly cooked pudding, stuffing, crispy pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and rich gravy.
