A North Yorkshire auction house is teaming up with a historic abbey for a valuation day celebrating antiques, collectables and the legacy of the craftsman known as the Mouseman.
Tennants Auctioneers will host the event at Ampleforth Abbey in the Hambleton Hills on October 21.
Auction-house specialists will offer free valuations of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson and Yorkshire Critters pieces, jewellery, glass, ceramics, clocks, watches, antiques and collectables.

The abbey and college commissioned much of Thompson’s work, including a unique fitted library and numerous pieces of furniture and fittings.
Diane Sinnott will give a talk on the evolution of Thompson’s work, his connection with Ampleforth and his iconic Monk’s Chair.
